Name and address
In the event of a remote toile fitting or for another reason relating to a bespoke order we may also request you to send photographs showing the fit of an item.
Our payments are processed through Paypal which does not reveal your card details to us, by cheque or by bank transfer where we do not have access to your card details. We do not store any payment information for our clients.
How we store your information
Any information shared during the course of an order is private and confidential and will not be shared with any third parties or used for any reason other than the creation of your order or offering advice.
When your bespoke order is complete it is our habit to keep your garment pattern and a hard copy (paper) of your details for up to 2 years as many clients return within this period for another garment and this information is useful. If you do not wish your pattern to be kept it can be destroyed securely at your request. You may also request that we retain your pattern for longer. Stored patterns are kept in a locked filing cabinet to ensure your privacy.
We also have a digital copy of your order checklist for bespoke orders which you are provided with to confirm the details of your commission. This is saved in a password protected area for 3 years unless you indicate that you wish it to be deleted or stored for longer.
Clients who have chosen to join our mailing list have their email addresses stored in a password protected folder. We hold these until such a time as you indicate that you no longer wish to be contacted by us. At this point your email address will be permanently deleted.
Hard copies of data will be shredded at the indicated time, and digital information permanently deleted.
Orchid Corsetry take your privacy seriously and we will never release your personal details to any outside company for marketing purposes. This page explains how we handle your personal information and our cookies policy.
